Whatcom artists create new performance venue online

BELLINGHAM, Wash — Bellingham has a free space to enjoy something very important during the COVID-19 shutdown.

Art.

More than 30 artists got together - via Zoom of course - to make the Whatcom Arts Project.

Their real-life performance places have been empty since march.

So they're filling virtual spaces with their creativity.

Using Facebook and their website, anyone can take art classes, tour galleries, check out Western Washington University's outdoor sculptures, listen to musical performances from local artists, even experience some behind the scenes ghost stories - did you know Mount Baker Theatre is haunted by a panther?
