SEATTLE — Disclaimer:  This is an encore presentation of this program.

Luly Yang inhabits a wide-ranging world of couture and ready-to-wear fashion.

"I have a love for this, yes," the designer said.

But she rarely needs to leave the Pike Place neighborhood where she lives, works and plays.

"This is the nucleus of my world," Yang said.

Our visit to Luly's world begins at the shop that carries her name, and her creations for women and men.

Next up, Gene Juarez.

Yang said, "I have been coming here for many, many years."

It's the salon and spa where Luly finds her calm during weekly visits.

"Usually when I check in they give me a cup of Market Spiced Tea, which is one of my favorites," she said.

Pike Place Market is the heart of Yang's neighborhood.

At the market's Crumpet Shop, Luly recommends owner Rob Lasater's green eggs and ham.

She's also a regular at Sushi Kashiba, where sushi master Shiro Kashiba presents his world-renowned creations. A perfectly tasty way to end our visit to one of Seattle's most fashionable neighborhoods.
