TACOMA, Wash. — American Ninja Warrior has been a summertime staple on NBC for 7 seasons now. But this upcoming season will have a big Northwest presence.

NBC announced they’ll be taping the show in six cities this season including episodes at the Tacoma Dome, May 11 & 12. This will be the first time the American Ninja Warrior obstacle course will be set indoors in the show's history.

A few years ago, Evening host Jim Dever tried his hand at conquering the course. American Ninja Warrior host Akbar Gbajabiamila recently called Dever out to take it on again.

Gbajabiamila said, "I'm making a challenge to Jim Dever. That's right. I hear you used to be a gymnast and you're powerful. I'm challenging you to come out to American Ninja Warrior. Yeah, we're going to be at the Tacoma Dome, we’re going to be in Seattle/Tacoma. I want to see you bring it on, Ninja Warrior!"

More information about show taping times and tickets will be released in the coming weeks.
