Christine Pae

Christine Pae is an anchor and reporter at KING 5 Seattle.

She started at KING as a reporter and multimedia journalist and now anchors the weekday newscasts on KONG at 7 a.m. and at noon on KING.

Christine also reports for KING's medical and health news series, HealthLink every Friday.

A native of Southern California, Christine’s career in journalism has taken her to all corners of the U.S.

She had her start on-air at WAFF-TV in Huntsville, Alabama, where she reported, shot, and edited her stories.

Christine then spent six years in the Southwest, where she anchored and reported general assignment news for KOAT-TV in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Prior to that, she covered breaking news, border issues and general assignment stories at KOLD-TV in Tucson, Arizona.

You can say she traded the cactuses in the sunny desert for the beautiful forests of the Pacific Northwest when she arrived to join the incredible team at KING in 2021.

At KING, her reporting work as earned several NATAS Northwest Emmy nominations. She was also part of the team whose breaking news coverage of a school shooting in north Seattle received a regional Edward R. Murrow award.

Christine is a graduate of the University of California, San Diego (UCSD), where she earned a B.A. in literature and writing. She also received a master's in journalism from Northwestern University.
