Christin Ayers joined KING 5 as Tacoma Bureau Chief in October 2019.

She is an award-winning journalist with a passion for hard news. She has worked as an anchor and reporter at news stations across the country, from small-town Montana, to the mountains of Denver, Colorado, to the San Francisco Bay Area.

Christin earned her Bachelor's degree from Sarah Lawrence College in New York and her Master degree's in Journalism from UC Berkeley. She developed an interest in journalism while studying media relations at Oxford University in England.

Before coming to Seattle, Christin worked as a reporter and host at KPIX in San Francisco and as a lecturer at UC Berkeley teaching graduate level visual journalism.

Christin has interviewed a host of celebrities, sports figures and newsmakers including President Barack Obama, Kevin Durant, Spike Lee and Forest Whitaker.

In her free time, Christin enjoys wine-tasting, reading, watching pro basketball and hanging out with her husband and their pit bull mix, Luna.
