A cold front is spreading increasingly steady rain into the state early this morning. It should move east of Puget Sound by noon changing the steady rain to off and on showers and a few sunbreaks in the afternoon. And it will turn blustery this afternoon as well.
Cooler, showery air will move in late tonight into Friday for showers and a chance of afternoon thunderstorms Friday. Showers will continue Saturday but probably with more sunbreaks. The snow level in the mornings both days may drop as low as 1,000-1,500 feet and highs will only be in the mid to upper 40's.
A large ridge of high pressure will begin to build well off the coast on Sunday. This will give us drying weather but weather systems moving over the top of the ridge will drop down the backside of the ridge. They may brush us as they move through BC Sunday and Monday for a slight chance of a shower both days otherwise it will be partly sunny and a little warmer.
As the ridge of high-pressure move closer to the coast, we should see more sunshine and temperatures pushing towards 60 by midweek.
