Seattle ranks #135 in cultural diversity, study finds

Kent tops Washington state in cultural diversity, edging out Renton.

A new study out by says Seattle is 'culturally diverse,' but not nearly as much as you might think.

Out of 500 U.S. cities in the study, Seattle finished 135th. The top finisher in Washington is Kent at #10, followed by Renton (#21) and Federal Way (#27).

The reason for the surprising results: WalletHub, a personal-finance website, used a different set of criteria - not just race. The metrics included ethnoracial diversity, linguistic diversity and birthplace diversity.
