Police now say a third suspect is involved in the assault and shooting of a 71-year-old woman in South Seattle on Tuesday. SPD also released surveillance video from a nearby home showing the suspects' car and two of the suspects walking by while the third suspect remained in the car.
The incident started just before 4 p.m. when the two suspects in their teens or early 20's approached a man gardening and asked for money. The teens then followed the man inside and an fight broke out. Police say the suspects hit the man's 71-year-old wife with a pistol. Shots were fired and the woman was struck in the shoulder. She was hospitalized in stable condition Tuesday night.
Police describe on suspect as a light-skinned black male in his late teens or early 20's, 6 feet tall, wearing a white jacket and white pants and armed with a black handgun. The second suspect is also described as a light-skinned black teen, 5 feet 6 inches tall, skinny, wearing a blue jacket and dark pants. He has a mustache.
Detectives are asking anyone with information about the robber to call.
