Early Skagit Tulips

After Sunday dinner and during a clearing in the stormy skies near Lake McMurray in Skagit County, I offered to take my mom for a drive through the Tulip routes to check the progress of the blooms. Off a side road near a large Tulip farm, I stopped a took a few pictures of the abundant crop of tulips, just starting to pop - a promise of what is to come during the next few weeks as the Tulip Festival starts on April 1. What a beautiful sight!
