Hello-
I'm writing about a WONDERFUL couple that I have been blessed to know for the past few years. Let's start with Joe. Joe was diagnosed with ALS in December of '04. Doctors only gave Joe 24-36 months to live. Here we are now, almost December of '09 and Joe is still with us. He is also the most caring, amazing Father and person you could meet. He has the greatest outlook on life. He is on a breathing machine now most of the day and all night, and has a computer that he uses to talk through, some days are worse making it so he can't communicate at all. Then there's his wife Ida. Which I consider the perfect wife and Mother. Always there for her 6 kids, while caring for Joe 24-7. She never complains, always just does what is needed. Seeing this family suffer and worry about making ends meet is just heartbreaking. They have had financial help from The Lighthouse Community, which is a site where people can go and make donations to families in need. Also, one of there many wonderful children has raised money by putting together benefit shows. I don't know what you can do, if anything. But at this point anything and everything would help. I've posted a link to his video. Maybe you could just help it spread around. Thank you so much for taking time to read a little bit of their story.
