A sunny winter day calls for photography at Bitter Lake. A butterfly whizzed by and suddenly set down on the ground amongst some dried leaves and sat still while inched closer to snap its picture. As pretty as it is I do not know its name, but it and the lilypad leaves washed up on shore as well as buds on the Salmon Berry bushes and the Indian Plum mean Spring is pretty close. Soon the baby ducklings will debut as well and I'm looking forward to full-on Spring when it does arrive.
