Upon a Historical Woman's Death, I was driven to do the best thing for her and this city we live in! Patty Norwood aka Patty Parr (Traffic Woman for KMPS, in the 90's)(Ichabod Cain and the Waking Crew) died in Oct 2012. She had become aligned with the earth, gardening, recycling and re-using!
I took a task of cleaning up her house and donating her things to Goodwill. I called CleanScapes to see if they could drop off a Recycle Container or Two, they said "No", I asked if out of the kindness of their hearts (knowing that Recycle is free) if they could make this exception. No! was the bold answer I got.
As I started the process, I was lucky enough to find a Recycle container of CleanScapes left in the backyard. So I filled it to the brim! Placed it out on the curb with many other boxes as pick up was that Monday Feb 18. I drove by on Tuesday the 19th to see the container and everything I placed with it, still there. What?? The truck passed it and didn't empty it??
I called CleanScapes and told this was missed, after giving them the address, they assured me it would be picked up on the following Mon, Feb 25.
I went to the house this morning to find the container gone and the picture shows you what they left! Is this not the company that won the bid to do Garbage and Recycling services in our area? I am appalled, big business like this needs to stop!
