The first two pictures were taken at Skamania Lodge about an hour out of Vancouver, WA on Highway 14. The trip along Highway 14 winds along the Columbia River Gorge with spectacular views along the entire route. The brunch at the lodge is wonderful and the sunny skies and views were outstanding! The trip was extra special because the weather in Vancouver was gray and gloomy and as we started the climb into the foothills the sun broke out to reveal blue, clear skies. The last picture is of one of three Hellebore blooming on my balcony. This particular one is so beautiful because it is a double blooming variety with bright maroon and white markings. It is one of the late winter/early spring flowers to bloom.
