Bringing in the new year at the Space Needle in Photos wasn't so easy. I didn't really want to take these photos on the street, so I asked my mother retirement home Mirabella if I could use their balcony to capture the Space Needle in Fireworks. They said yes they would be happy allow me a empty sixth floor room balcony. If my mother wasn't a resident there, they may not have. I took these photos with a Cannon T1i with a Sigma Zoom 18mm to 200mm at 15 sec time exposure at f11 with ASA 200 setting. Since the balcony I was on on the 6th floor was facing North I had to lay the tripod half way over the Balcony railing at a slant. I tied the tripod down then preceded to use the tripod mount in a very ajar way to get a straight image. It was difficult to lean over the railing to take the photos, so I didn't get all good photos. It was cold and difficult to take these photos but I'm happy with the result I managed to get with a few of them. If you would like to see all the photos of the Space Needle on New years Eve, then feel free to visit my portfolio at http://www.gregbgh.com for GBGH Photography and see all my work. I also have their other Fireworks photos and 'Happy New Year' to you all!!!
