We a group of RC sailing enthusiasts that build and race these model sailboats, the T37, a 37" long sailboat made of 1/8" plywood. These are kits made locally, (Tippecanoe boat in Everson, Wa.) Worldwide, there are nearly 1800 sailing but locally, there are 350 in the NW Washington area. We even have 2 Olympic gold medalists (in sailing, Jonathan McKee and Carl Buchan, plus Bates McKee, UW sailing coach and a host of other "big boat" racers)in the fleet racing these. Almost everyone in the fleet owns and races big boats but have these as a backup plan. We can have the the worst day of weather around and we don't have to get our feet wet.

As of 1:15 PM, it's still snowing here but the ice isn't completely over the pond in my back yard so it's a lovely day to go sailing! Just not on the water so much as next to it.

Thanks!
