The story . . . is the weather! How else could Easter Lilies bloom in October? This is my "Satellite Garden" in Kent. My kids gave me an Easter Lily for Easter. I'm allergic to lilies, so I planted it outside - ignoring the warning that it should be an indoor plant. The main plant died and 2 "offspring" grew up around it. And they're actually blooming - in October! Leaves are turning and falling, annuals are dieing off, but my Easter Lilies live on!
