This garden spider had rebuilt her web several times in the weeks preceding the morning this photo was taken. On this morning, the first day of fall, Sept. 22, 2012, it was raining and she was diligently guarding her web again against the rain and the wind. Her persistence in fighting the elements was and still is admirable.
