Both of these mares were in kill pens at two different auction houses, in two different states awaiting their horrible journey on the slaughter truck. Thanks to the help of many, we were able to pull them out and bring them home to be loved on and cared for like they deserve. People think if they take their horses to auction they are being purchased by private homes....not always the case. While many are, there is just as many bought buy kill buyers to slaughter for meat price. One of these mares is in remarkable condition, the other in horrible condition. They both deserve a chance and if due to a quality of life scenario...be put down with dignity. For now they both can experience the love of a child and a safe place to live out their lives
