We just spent two weeks on Kauai, the northernmost of the Hawaiian Islands. It is simple, deeply historical and a little magical. Don't go here to get anything "done" as it is a place of slowing, seeing, feeling, and rejuvenating. The Aloha is alive and well here; I didn't hear one angry person or honking horn. Even the ever-present roosters are a delight at 6 AM. It's all in the way it is..
