The bi-annual JBLM Air Expo took place this weekend at McChord AFB in Lakewood. Thousands of spectators lined up outside the base waiting for the gates to open at 8:00am sharp to enjoy a day of high flying and thrilling aerial displays. The flying started earlier than expected on Saturday when King 5's own Megan Black took a hop in Thunderbird 8, one the USAF's twin seat F-16 fighters belonging to the USAF's Flight Demonstration Team, the Thunderbirds. She no doubt had an experience she will remember for the rest of her life.
