One of my Balanced Stones Sculptures near the Olympic Sculpture Park in Myrtle Edwards on Elliott Bay, Puget Sound - Seattle. I think Myrtle Edwards is one of our most beautiful parks, the last remaining 'natural' Public Spaces on the Seattle Waterfront / Elliot Bay. These sculptures are a collaboration between myself and the Universal Spirit of Earth Mother. She helps me find the rocks who are seeking balance- and the sculpture takes shape. Wind, Rain and the elements -including people unbalance the rocks... This is one of the charms of the art, that it is only there for a blick of natures eye... Sometimes they fall before I finish, sometimes the wind nocks them over within hours, sometimes they stand for days... Some fall from wind, vibrations or from other rocks thrown by passing children. In case some of you are wondering, I erect these well off the trails, deep within the rocks aligning the shore, so as to not pose any danger to passing children or pets. When they fall, as they all do, its an opportunity to make another. None are the same, though I often use some of the same rocks, but the sculptures all wind up being unique, one of a kind. Once they topple over, they are never to be seen again... (except in my pictures) I pray that the energy I receive from these creations is equal to the energy given to the observers who are often in amazement and in awe. There are so many kind regulars who walk the park and introduce themselves and thank me for my (and the Spirit's) creations.
