If you don't make the effort to catch the moon in all it's romance, then you just won't catch the moon. I have been in school for Photography school to learn the tricks of the trade, and I need to face that I just may not have had the equipment to catch the face of the moon. I used a 70mm to 200mm lens with a Cannon T1i to catch these photos for someone who asked, but it just may not be what they asked for when they really want the face of the moon. I know It may have taken a telescope with the capability and lens to do the job. I used all different exposure and aperture variations and I just couldn't get the detail. Yet I did remember that if I used a a very closed down f stop like f40 with a long exposure, I would get the photo I took here. I did want to catch the moon when it was closest to the earth, and I really did have a good idea I wouldn't be successful at catching the details do to past experience. Somehow I feel I just didn't have the right equipment or my education and experience just didn't come through for that shot. As well as that person who asked and you the audience, I hope you find these photos something that you may want to take with your camera for a romance card. Maybe the weather man will share with us the secret. So make your effort, there is more than one way to catch the moon. Gregory B.
