The tulip picture was taken at Tulip Town April 19th. I found it to be an impressive picture because of the thunderclouds building in the background.
We didn't expect to find Snow Geese this late in the season but there was one big flock still around. The photo is of the geese taking of and landing in the same field. This was taken at the Skagit Valley Wildlife Refuge. At one point they flew directly overhead. What a site to behold.
The picture of the mated eagles was seen by me while driving back towards I-5. I stopped and approached them quietly. I was able to get several shots of the before one left to go hunting. I have seen lots of bald eagles but never a mated pair sitting so close by. I could hear the talking to each other in little chirps.
