Climb every mountain to see…… Heavier Than Air’s production of “The Sound of Music
(Auburn – WA) Comprised of several groups of siblings, parents, and performers of all ages, The Sound of Music features the talents of John Legas as the Captain, Windy Autumn Foster as Maria, and Angie Barttels as the Mother Abbess. The double cast of von Trapp children draw from Auburn, Kent, Renton and Covington schools and include Sara Fiksdal and Sophie Nelson as Liesl, Kennedy King Foster and Hallie Rose Hominda as Louisa, Drew Foster and Cole Hendricks as Friedrich, Nick Toney and Zacarey Keith as Kurt, Alexis Harrold and Sophia Jahns as Brigitta, Crina Snyder and Jenna Merrill as Marta, and Ryen Glynn and Rainy Nelson as Gretl.
A cast of more than 40 performers and a live band make the all volunteer group of Heavier Than Air a unique community theatre experience. The Sound of Music is a must see for those who enjoy local entertainment at reasonable prices.
The Sound of Music is more than a musical. It is a cherished memory filled with laughter, tears, and of course some of the most memorable music of all time such as “Climb Every Mountain”, Do-Re-Mi” and “Edelweiss.”
You can catch “Sound of Music” on March 23, 24, 25, 30 and 31st. Performance times are Fridays at 7:00 and Saturdays at 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. with one Sunday matinee at 3:00 on March 25th. Tickets are $10.00 each, including children and seniors, and should be purchased in advance by calling 253 833 9111 x 2400 during normal business hours. Groups of 15 or more attending the same performance, same date and time, will receive a 20% discount. Seating is on a first-come basis and all performances are in the Performing Arts Building located in the center of the main campus of Green River Community College, 12401 SE 320th Street, Auburn, WA.
