I've heard the 4 stages of life are: You believe in Santa, You dont believe in Santa, You become Santa, You look like Santa. In our family SANTA is the family business. Santa is choosing his heir, and thus skipping stage #2 altogether. Training of Santa starts at a young age. Tradition has the next Santa being chosen between the ages of 2 and 3 and only one heir will become the next one.
