It was difficult for me to get out the door on a cold December evening to take photos, but I got to Country village in Bothell for their Christmas lights. My fingers where in scanty cloth mittens as I try to use the full capability of the camera, but it was so cold, I just couldn't. I wanted to get the incandescent yellow out of the photos when I took time exposures of the lights on My Cannon Rebel T1i, but I would need to go through all the menu selection to do so and it was just to blessed cold. This was Monday night the 12th and the temperture out when I got back home was 28 degrees. I had to take the Bus to Country village so I had to account all that time I would also need to wait for the Bus and carry my tripod with camera to take the Photos. It only takes experience to do better and all I know if I don't get out to take the photos Of some Christmas activity or festivity, how could I really call myself a photographer. I did sort of enjoy taking the photos, but all the time that was required of recovery from the blessed cold when I got home made it work. Country Village has a lot of unique shops and have a train ride for the children during the day. To see the lights while some shops are open you need to get there around 4pm or so. Country Village may not be a obvious place to know about but they fully celebrate Christmas and their is plenty of Christmas colors and Duck ponds to wonder around the village. It makes for a nice afternoon to evening walk for the family and any folks, so take a gander at it. I did and it was well worth the photo trip for me, only because it was hard work to turn pleasure of photography of mine into some healthy work celebrating the Christmas season. So Merry Christmas to you all and all a good night and look at more of my work under Gregory B. Helfrich on Google or Bing or go to http://www.gregbgh.vpweb.com. Thank you.
