Last summer Derek Kincade, an 11th grader at Edmonds-Woodway High School in Edmonds, spent a month of his vacation in the Caribbean West Indies island of Dominica with VISIONS Service Adventures, an international service learning summer program.
Kincade was one of 25 high school students who traveled to the Carib Reserve on Dominica’s northeast coast to do community service. Carib Territory is the official home to the sole surviving original inhabitants of Dominica.
