Hello, my name is Kim Leber and I'm a proud student at White River High School. Tonight, October 7th, is our homecoming game at our school against Fife where we will be announcing who made homecoming royalty to the school during the half-time show. Tonight is not only special because it anticipates the excitement of the dance or the football game, but we get to see one of our very own Connections kid, Brenden Walken, be nominated as a part of the 2011 homecoming royalty! Our Connections program helps and encourages our student body to bond with kids with special needs. This is recognition is even more exciting because Brenden was nominated by the students at White River High School to be a part big part of this special night! Even if he may not win homecoming king (even though he probably will!), the love that was shown by people he may not even know, to him, I'm sure will never be forgotten.
