My daughter has been choose to represent her school in washington dc. only the best most responciable students are nominated by a teacher or princapal. There are three 5th graders from washington elementry that have been nominated and then picked togo. This is a once in a life time oppertuinty the only problem is the students are required to pay 2000 dollars to go plue air fair. This isnt hard for some familys but for ours it is impossible. I applied for a scholar ship but wont find out if we got it until its to late to pick another option.I havent been able to work in 4 years because I am disabled. This makes it very hard to get by let alone pay for a trip to wa dc, I just dont have it. I would go find a job if I could work. I want to work. I pray to be able to go back to work someday but right now we are struggling. Cheyenne is a very bright child that has been giving this once in a life time oppertuinity to go to washingtion dc with the junior national young leaders for a conferance. She will never get this chance again. I shouldd tell you cheyenne is only 11. she would learn so much from this and open her eyes to so much. I just ask that you consider doing a storie about this to help raise the money it costs to get her there and the price of the conferance. I know its a lot to ask but I know the people of washington want the young people that are our future to be as bright and well rounded as possible.thank you so much.
