Trish Hatley, one of the Northwest's most beloved jazz vocalists, joins Be the Gift Teams this weekend, January 22nd and 23rd, for a project in Camano Island, WA. Trish, Be the Gift, and 21 volunteers will help a local family battling cancer.

Be the Gift is a Vancouver, WA company founded by four women who came together for a common cause - to reinvent giving and receiving one person at a time. Their fresh approach to this simple act involves giving of yourself in a new way.

One aspect of their business is Be the Gift Teams. They choose a cause, small or large, and present one or multiple Be the Gift Cards designed to make a difference in someone's life.

Part of their message is deepening connections with yourself, your friends and family and your community. Be the Gift Teams show others how they can impact their community in a positive way.

This weekend, Trish Hatley will join Be the Gift and present "Project Pal" and "Polish Your Pad" Gift Cards to local Camano Island residents, Ron and Claudia.

Claudia is now battling her third round of colon cancer and will be staying at her mother’s house to recover. With Ron working 60 hour weeks and Claudia’s ongoing health issues, their house has fallen into disarray. Be the Gift, along with Trish Hatley and a team of dedicated volunteers are going to clear the clutter and clean Ron and Claudia’s house - to give them back a peaceful and healing home.
