When our kids were small and still in school we decorated the outside of our house with lights from top to bottom. Now that they have grown up, gotten married and have kids of their own, we have cut back on the lights considerably. However, it’s amazing what grandparents will do for their grandkids. We still don’t have as many lights on the outside of the house, but we thought we might as well decorate our home away from home that is sitting in our driveway.
We have also built a park like playground in our back yard for when our granddaughters come over to visit, or spend the night. This structure was built last summer specifically for the grandkids, but the neighborhood kids enjoy visiting as well, especially the 100 foot zip line next to the play structure.
We try not to spoil them, but it's hard!
