MALTBY, Wash. -- The Clearview Cafe near Maltby is closed until further notice after a driver lost control on a snowy road and crashed his car into the building.
The accident happened near State Route 9 and 180th Tuesday morning. Washington State Patrol trooper Keith Leary said the car crossed the centerline, hit one car, went off the road, hit a parked car and then slammed into the cafe.
"I was driving northbound on Highway 9 and started to fishtail. It all of a sudden hit me," said driver K. Norman, who was uninjured. "I veered off into the parked car and then into the building."
No word on when the cafe will reopen.
