After the big snowstorm, Seattle is back to normal - wet. We're melting. Melting ice is cascading down the rounded sides of Seattle's Experience Music Project, and it’s causing small pools on Seattle streets.

Mayor Mike McGinn’s son shot a home movie with dad showing citizens how to clear a drain.

"And you can help us out by going out and clearing your storm drains,” he says.

We found several citizens helping out. James Woods was shoveling a very steep sidewalk outside his apartment building.

"It’s pretty much on me,” he said.

Seattle’s drainage and wastewater crew was out clearing drains in areas where ponds are growing.

"As the calls come in, we'll hit each one. Hopefully we'll get rid of ponding before people have to step in this stuff,” said Darius Ellis

The experts say they are not concerned about widespread urban flooding.  They believe the system can handle the water capacity. But they do want to stay on top of it and avoid spot flooding on streets.
