CHEHALIS, Wash. -- Josephene Vetter of Onalaska, Wash., came outside with her yardstick Wednesday morning to find 20 inches of snow in her front yard.

All the snow broke tree limbs, causing thousands of Lewis County PUD customers to lose power, including Vetter.  Because of all the snow on the roof of her home, Vetter lost the sattelite signal for her TV.

A neighbor, Cindy Blue of Chehalis, is helping Vetter shovel out her driveway. She said her priority is to pull Vetter's car out of the carport, in case the flat carport roof collapses.

In Winlock, the roof of a mobile home collapsed Wednesday morning. Two people were uninjured but now have to stay with friends.
