Will we get snow in western Washington this winter, and how much?
If I had a dollar for every time I've been asked this question. The answer is "I have no idea"! We've mentioned the La Nina pattern leads to an increased likelihood of snow this winter...but only in general. Snow events only become evident on the computer guidance we refer to perhaps a week or so in advance...at the most. The likely amount of snow can only be reliably forecast 24-48 hours at most in advance.
