What's the status of all the wildfires in our state...since it's been so rainy?
All the fires are contained and out. I checked on this with fire meteorologists at the National Weather Service. They do point out that in some cases, root systems underground can remain smoldering for weeks...even months...and then re-emerge. They're not saying that will happen, but they will remain on the look out next spring and summer.
