What's the difference between 'windy' and 'breezy' in your forecasts?
Breezy is used to refer to winds that will be inconvenient (blowing out umbrellas, for example)...but are unlikely to cause damage. The dividing line is usually near 35 mph in summer to early fall...but 40 mph in late fall and winter. By late autumn, weaker trees and limbs have already fallen...requiring higher wind speeds to knock over trees which in turn can topple power lines.
