What weather characteristics define a Pineapple Express?
A Pineapple Express is a very warm and very moist flow of air from the tropics and subtropics, originating over or near the Hawaiian Islands. That's where it gets it's name. You can see it on satellite images as a band of clouds stretching from Hawaii to the Pacific Northwest.
