Seafair is this weekend. Will the Blue Angels be able to do their "high show"...and what's needed?
A high show requires a ceiling or cloud deck at least 3,500 feet above the ground. That, by the way, is measured to the base of the clouds.
A low show with limited aerobatics is performed with clouds 1,500 to 3,500 feet above the ground, while a flat show with horizontal passes is performed when the base of the cloud deck is below 1,500 feet.
Our current computer weather projections suggest a high show should be possible both Saturday and Sunday.
