It seems like a lot of your cold weather records came from 1950...was that an especially cold year?

1950 was indeed a grim year. January 13th had 20" of snow...in Seattle! There were four Arctic blasts from January 1 to February 3rd.Eight of the ten all-time lowest temperatures occurred in 1950...and from July 7th to August 6th, each day had cooler than average temperatures.
