If this is likely to be an average summer-what does that mean?

Although some say summer weather is most likely after the 4th of July, my experience is that it typically begins to become most frequent the second week of July. Average highs warm from 73 the first of July to 77 the end of July, cooling back to 73 the end of August.

Average July rainfall is .76", average August rainfall is 1.14". The last two weeks of July and the first two weeks of August are the driest.

In terms of sunshine, there is an average of 12 clear days in July and 11 in August. Both months average 10 partly cloudy days. But September is almost as nice-an average of 9 clear days and 8 partly cloudy days. When the rest of the country is experiencing the pangs of autumn...we usually enjoy more nice (even summery!) weather.
