How do you predict fog?
First, fog is simply a cloud at ground level. It's formed by water vapor cooling and condensing. Forecasters look for wet ground, light wind or no wind and clear skies. The clear skies and light winds allow the cooling needed to condense water vapor (from the wet ground) into the tiny water droplets that make up fog.
