No. It doesn't even have much of a bearing on Pennsylvania's weather prospects. Statistics over a century show Punxsatawney Phil's accuracy is about 39%. The name 'Punxsatawney', by the way, means 'town of the sand flies'. If you lived in a place meriting that name...you might be distracted too...as would I! By the way, Phil did see his shadow Thursday, which is supposed to mean six more weeks of winter.
