It's important to remember there's a key difference between seasonal trends and single patterns. Seasonal trends can be anticipated while single patterns are difficult to forecast more than ten days out. The latest 90 day outlook from the Climate Prediction Center is that above normal temperatures are likely from May through July over the southwest, central Rockies, south central, southeast and much of the east coast.
