Could you remind people how dangerous it is to leave children or pets in the car?
Of course-last year, thirty children died from heat stroke-the result of being left in cars. This year, (as I write this) 20 have died already and that doesn't include pet fatalities. 'Cracking' a window...or even leaving it partially down, doesn't help. On an 80 degree day, temperatures inside a closed car can reach 109 degrees within 20 minutes and 123 degrees within 60 minutes. If you see a child, or animal, left in a car when the temperature is even close to 70 (especially if the sun is shining)...call police immediately.
