According to NASA, the sun is supposed to 'flip' it's magnetic field in 4 months-will that effect the earth's weather?

The sun's magnetic field will reverse by December; it's not unusual, it happens every 11 years. That 'flip' makes what's called the solar 'current sheet', or flow of charged particles away from the sun...'wavier'...which deflects more cosmic rays. That reduction in cosmic radiation changes the earth's electrical field...which in turn can reduce lightning activity, making thunderstorms fractionally less intense.
