Seattle breaks October rain record

This October is the rainiest yet.

On Saturday, Seattle broke the previous record for wettest October of 8.96 inches set back in 2003. 

According to the US National Weather Service, Sea-Tac received 0.12 inches of rain from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m., making the October rainfall total 9.06 inches. 

The forecast calls for more rain Saturday, Sunday and Monday to close out the month.  

The average rain fall for October is 3.48 inches.
