Dick Scobee Elementary honors astronaut on Challenger anniversay

Thirty years ago today, Commander Dick Scobee, an Auburn native, was among the astronauts on the Space Shuttle Challenger when it exploded just after takeoff. Today, his hometown paid tribute with an assembly at Dick Scobee Elementary.
