Over a dozen Olympians, including gymnastics royalty Kerri Strug and Carly Patterson, were VIPs at a fundraiser Monday for injured Pierce County teen Jacoby Miles.

Jacoby was paralyzed from the chest down last month after an accident while practicing on the uneven bars.

Melanie Roach, the owner of Jacoby's gym, said the benefit in Tacoma raised $155,000.

Jacoby was unable to attend the event due to illness.

Olympic gymnastics legend Olga Korbut also was under the weather and had to cancel, but Roach said she plans to hold a clinic at Jacoby's gym at a later date.
