Detectives searched for clues Monday in a shooting that critically wounded a man near Highline High School and Mosier Memorial Park.
Police found the man in the stairwell of a Burien apartment complex, near 200 South 156th Street.
Police said he was not shot at that location, and does not live in the apartments either.
Detectives patrolled the grounds around the stadium and parking lot looking for evidence, such as shell casings.
One neighbor described the shooting as unsettling due to its proximity to the school.
"One of the reasons we moved over here was because of we're across the street from the high school," he said. "They have really good security that roams around here on a regular basis."
No arrests have been made.
The victim was rushed into surgery at Harborview Medical Center with a gunshot wound to his rear and torso.
